The Intermediate Care Units are designed for patients who are expected to have a low risk of needing life-sustaining therapeutic measures, but who require more monitoring and nursing care than they can receive in a conventional hospitalization facility.
They are stable patients, however, because of the nature of the disease, they are susceptible to complications that must be resolved quickly.
Revenues in the Intermediate Care Unit are made from:
The Emergency Service, after having been attended to by the Emergency Patient.
From the operating room, after a high-risk surgical intervention.
From the Hospitalization Plant due to the general condition of the patient.
